Hi All

We are not sure why local stations cant automate or give people an
opportunity to voice track overnight programmes.

If we're going to see a start of a 'networked' community show then it
defeats the object of community radio altogether.

We don't feel any commercial system - which this could be...should be
used as a back door source of revenue making through communtiy radio.
This is exactly what commercial radio is there for - making money.

Regards

Hi,

I am writing to tell you about a new service that we are intending to
launch for Community Radio stations in the UK. We have already
implemented this on a small scale for a particular station, but talking
to other Community Radio stations we feel it may be of wider interest so
we are keen to understand the level of interest.

The concept is simple - a fully managed overnight sustaining service
playing your music format with your station imaging but with our
voice-tracked presenter. All presenter links would be heavily localised
and focused upon the TSA, events, news, info etc. This isn't a typical
network sustaining service - it is *your* overnight service.

How it works:
We provide you with a playout PC that we manage. It requires is a
broadband connection for us to manage it with, and has balanced audio
outputs. The service starts when you want it to, playing your music
format to your clocks with promos/commercials/features as required. The
presenter links are played in with references to the music, other
presenters/shows and as much local information as possible. The service
will then continue until your presenter led programming takes over in
the morning. Options exist to take an external news service, and of
course local weather inserts.

At this point we are seeking an expression of interest from Community
Radio stations by email with (of course) no commitment. This will allow
us to gauge demand
more accurately and scale our roll-out accordingly.

If this is of interest then I would be grateful if you could get in
touch by email, otherwise thank you for your time. Our website and other
points of contact will be coming very soon.

Kind regards,
Jon Richardson
