Access to Government Grants for the Voluntary and Community Sector

The Department of Health is reviewing all funding and investment to
third sector organisations. This includes primary grant funding streams:
Section 64 General Scheme of Grants http://tinyurl.com/yscqrf; and
Opportunities for Volunteering http://tinyurl.com/ys3mup; and other
funding through contracts.
Third Sector Organisations and other interested stakeholders are invited
to respond to the consultation document, which aims to develop a
strategic framework for the Department of Health's investment in the
Third Sector.
The Consultation closes on 20 March 2008 and workshops will take place
throughout the country:
* Equalities, 14 January 2008 at The Kings Fund, London;
* East Midlands, 22 January 2007 at Highpoint, 165 Glenfield Road,
Leicester;
* London, 24 January 2008 at The Kings Fund, London;
* Yorkshire and the Humber, 25 January 2008 at Bodington Hall, Leeds
University, Leeds (part of the Yorkshire and Humber BME panel annual
conference); 19 February 2008 at Bar Convent, York; and 21 February at
St Georges Centre, Leeds;
* West Midlands, 31 January 2008 at Warwickshire County Cricket Club,
Egbaston, Birmingham;
* North East, 6 February 2008 at The Destiny Centre, Stockton-on-Tees;
and 7 February 2008 at The Assembly Room, Newcastle;
* North West, 12 February 2008 at Gujerat Centre, Preston; 13 February
2008 at Gateway Centre, Warrington;
* South East, 26 February 2008 at Reading Town Hall, Blagrave Street,
Reading; and 27 February 2008 at The Sunlight Centre, Gillingham, Kent;
* South West, 6 March 2008 at Plymouth Pavillion; and 7 March 2008 at
The Kuumba Arts and Community Resource Centre, Bristol;
* Eastern Region, 13 March 2008 at the British Racing School, Snailwell,
Newmarket.
