[comtv-l] Call for input: Local TV in Northern Ireland

[CMA-L]

DCMS has announced that Belfast will be one of the regions to be
included in the first round of licensing for a new digital Local TV
station – with the expectation of two more to come in Derry and
Limavady.

These TV stations will reach a small geographic area and will be in
addition to the regional-wide offerings from BBC NI and UTV.

The success of Local TV though will be defined by its programmes and
what the viewers wish to see on local TV.

What advice do you have that should be directed to DCMS, Ofcom and
DCAL on Local TV for Northern Ireland?
