The Good Pitch brings together inspiring social-purpose film
projects and a group of expert participants from charities,
foundations, brands and media to form powerful alliances around
groundbreaking films.

*DATE:* September 7 & 8, 2009

*VENUE:* Amnesty International’s East London Auditorium

The Good Pitch is borne out of the conviction that documentary is a
powerful tool for creating social change. We believe that only by
working with the right partners can filmmakers create real impact and
ensure that ambitious, issue-driven films get made, find audiences and
inspire and enable participation. This ambition – to create powerful
coalitions around films – is why we created the Good Pitch, an evolution
in the traditional pitch format.


ABOUT THE GOOD PITCH UK

The Good Pitch UK is now open for submissions. *The deadline is Monday
July 06 2009*.

The Good Pitch UK is a collaboration with Working Films UK
<http://www.workingfilms.org/> and will be hosted by Amnesty
International <http://www.amnesty.org.uk/> at their East London
auditorium. It is being held in association with One World Media
<http://oneworldmedia.org.uk/>, dedicated to increasing global
understanding through the effective use of media.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The Good Pitch UK is aimed at British or British-based directors and
producers with an ambition to work in partnership to harness the power
of documentary to create positive change.

We are looking for documentary film projects which tackle important
global and national issues and enhance our understanding of the world.
We will also want to see that you have thought about what you hope to
achieve with your film through an associated outreach campaign. Your
campaign can take any form, whether seeking to promote public engagement
and/or policy change, or engaging with the issues raised in new and
interesting ways.
