Election Coverage Workshop - London 18 April

They say there's no such thing as a free lunch...but this time it's true!

Don't miss the first Election Coverage workshop for the Community Media 
sector on Monday 18 April at the King's Fund, 11 - 13 Cavendish Square, 
London, W1G 0AN

This free workshop is open to anyone involved in programmes for radio 
and television.  We have an excellent lineup of speakers and interactive 
workshop sessions with scenarios, quizzes and media clips.

* Steve Perkins, Ofcom Manager of TV Programmes, will speak about the 
regulations for broadcasters during election time.

* Sam Jarvis, Electoral Commission Campaigns Officer will provide an 
overview of the mechanisms involved in this year's election.

* Rod Beards, Journalism Development Co-ordinator, BBC Nations and 
Regions will do an interactive session on journalistic issues and 
approaches to programme making during the election period.

Participants will receive a handy booklet for programme makers and yes, 
a free lunch!
