I'm writing to invite you and other people from your organisation to
some special election workshops which will be held next week.
They're free and they've been put together by the CMA and the BBC with
Ofcom and the Electoral Commission. The workshops are aimed at anyone
who is involved in programmes for radio and television – staff and
volunteers – it doesn't matter if they're experienced or not – to give
them ideas and information about covering the election. They're also an
opportunity to meet other community programme makers. The day will
include a chance to try out different programme making scenarios. Even
if you're not planning to cover the election this time, you might find
it useful to take part.
The first one is in London next Monday 18th
The next is Manchester next Thursday 21st
The final one is in Inverness a week on Saturday 23rd April.
Tea, coffee and a snack lunch will be provided.
Further information, including booking forms and an agenda is available
at www.commedia.org.uk/your_vote Please complete and e mail a booking
form by return to michael.conn at commedia.org.uk to reserve your place(s).
Although they're free, the places are limited because of space, food etc.
We hope that you can come – the workshops promise to be both interesting
and enjoyable.
Best Wishes
--
