We are currently looking for a filmmaker and project co-ordinator for
our young person's filmmaking project and would like to cast our
recruitment net as far as possible.

A Voice of My Own (VOMO) is a gateway project that gives young people a
voice through filmmaking enabling them to document and present to a wide
audience, important aspects in their lives. VOMO is a partnership
Initiative between public and voluntary sectors namely Social Inclusion
Partnership, Borders Voluntary Youth Work Forum, Scottish Borders
Council, Edinburgh University for Study of Continuing Education and
Leader Plus.

The projects values are about creativity, accessibility and raising
attainment and expectation in young people. The project focuses
particularly on those young people who have been marginalised as a
result of their background, aptitude or physical distance from
opportunities. The action programme for VOMO also includes support,
liaison and mentoring, filmmaker events (a screen school and young
people's film festival), web development and action research.

could forward them the information.
Kind regards

Ronnie Johnston
