Workshop discussion session (11.45 - 13.00)

Community Media, the BBC and public service broadcasting

This workshop will look at strategies for developing a constructive 
engagement between the Community Media sector and the BBC. Participants 
will discuss models for delivering public service broadcasting through 
an equal partnership between the BBC and the Community Media sector. The 
workshop will also look at a funding model for Community Media that 
relies on a small percentage from the BBC Licence Fee.

As Charter Review gains momentum, this is an important time for the 
Community Media sector to formulate a coherent position on the sector's 
future engagement with the BBC.

The CMA Conference and AGM is an annual policy event to discuss 
developments within the Community Media sector. The day includes the 
latest news from the sector, lively discussion sessions and an 
opportunity for CMA Members to elect the CMA Council for the forthcoming
