[comradio-l] Facebook - A way of deteriming the your listerners (Part 1)

I just had a brief conversation with the guys at Sports Media.

 

They have just completed a survey comparing small commercial station’s RAJAR figures with their Facebook Friends to estimate the listenership of Community Stations including The Bay 102.8.

 

The outcome, as best described, is that multiplying your Friends / Likes by 16 will give a 95% accurate correlation for weekly reach. 

 

When applied to us here at The Bay 102.8 the Face Book estimate is 26,000 where our independent survey shows 30,000 which is not a bad quick estimate.

 

I hope this is useful for stations who don’t do surveys.
