This year there are three community radio projects nominated for the
Talk Talk Digital Hero Awards 2010

Check out the short-listed community radio nominees below and get
voting. Voting closes at midnight on Friday November 12th.

David Murat - Chorlton Arts Radio
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Run entirely by volunteers Chorlton Arts Radio gives local bands,
playwrights and schools air time to express themselves through
internet radio during a two-week annual festival. The station
attracted 10,000 hits during the 2010 festival and David now needs a
grant in order to run the programme again in 2011.

Al Garthwaite - South Leeds Community Radio

South Leeds Community Radio gives local people a voice and a creative
outlet allowing them to share common interests. The station brings
people together and helps them gain skills, confidence and jobs
through participating in their production and training. A £5,000 grant
would enable Al and her volunteers to continue to offer digital
opportunities promoting strong community spirit.

Dan Cissokho - Peterborough African Community Organisation

Dan is the project manager for a community radio project in
Peterborough that aims to engage 150 volunteers a year who will be
trained in community radio skills. The grant would enable PACO to
invest in the latest broadcasting technologies.
