*Cambridge's Community Radio Station Launches New Monthly Lottery*

209radio, Cambridge's Community Radio Station broadcasting on 105 FM,
has launched a new monthly lottery.

The draw will take place on the evening of the 3rd Thursday every month,
with a guaranteed prize fund of 30% of all monies collected and only one
winner each time. Tickets are £1 each.

It is open to anyone who is over 16 years of age and ID may be required
to enter.

Tickets can be paid for in person, month-by-month, at the radio station
by cash or cheque or players can set up a monthly standing order.

People buying entries must fill in a form, available on request, by
emailing lottery at 209radio.co.uk or by calling 07968 898254.

Karl Hartland, Station Manager, says:

"The new 209radio lottery represents many opportunities; for the station
as a Registered Charity to raise much-needed funds and for 1 lucky
person a month to win a much-needed cash prize.

The prize pot is limited by the number of people in each draw but we are
allowed to take up to £20,000 per draw so that represents a maximum cash
prize of £6,000 going to 1 lucky winner.

So this scheme could potentially raise significant amounts of money and,
should it reach this potential, 209radio is committed to making a
percentage of the proceeds available as a grant pot for other Charities
and Voluntary Sector organisations in the city".

Notes to Editors:

209radio on 105 FM is Cambridge's Community Radio Station.

A Registered Charity (No. 1124610), it is non-profit, community-owned
and volunteer-driven.

209radio is committed to providing training and broadcast opportunities
to the community of Cambridge City.

The 209radio Lottery is licensed by Cambridge City Council, No. CAMLOT000076

The prize available for each draw will be determined by the numbers of
entries but will always be 30% of all monies gathered.

A maximum prize of £6,000 will ONLY be available if the maximum numbers
of entries is reached (20,000)
