of its licensing round in the South East of England (excluding within
the M25). They are:

Meridian FM, East Grinstead

The studio will be open and accessible to all corners of the
community. Meridian FM will offer training to volunteers and work
experience places to schools, as well as encouraging programme makers
to use its facilities. Meridian FM will offer a wide range of local
programmes produced and presented by local people aimed specifically
at the community with a ‘something for everyone’ approach.

Uckfield FM, Uckfield
Web-site: http://www.uckfieldfm.co.uk
Uckfield FM will be a local radio station run mostly by volunteers
providing a service for Uckfield in East Sussex. The station will
belong to the community and provide a means of access to the airwaves
for local groups, individuals, societies and musicians, as well as
providing media and other training for all age groups.

Awaaz Radio, High Wycombe
Awaaz Radio aims to encourage, promote, and develop a sense of
community among the Asian community in the High Wycombe area in
Buckinghamshire with programming that will include music and the
provision of news, information and entertainment. Awaaz Radio aims to
become a hub for community interaction and awareness. It will assist
people in obtaining access to facilities in training and health, and
will promote education on social issues.

Congratulations from the CMA and the community media sector to these
