The Welsh Assembly Government has set up a fund to recognise the
contribution community radio stations make to their communities.

The fund has been created to help run community radio stations which
have been granted a five-year broadcast licence by Ofcom.

There is one funding round each financial year for a duration of five
years. Two rounds of funding have been allocated so far.

Applications for funding are now invited for the financial year
2010-11. The closing date is 18 December 2011. The guidance and
application forms may be downloaded from the website below.

Grants are awarded on a competitive basis.  The minimum grant that can
be applied for is £5,000 but there is no upper limit.
