Don't miss the CMA's Community Radio Licence Application Workshop

Saturday 30 September 2006
10.00am – 5.00pm
Commonwealth Museum
Clock Tower Yard, Temple Meads, Bristol, BS1 6Q

This workshop is aimed at groups applying to Ofcom's second round of 
Community Radio licensing.   The event is put together by the CMA and 
Ofcom with Bristol Community FM, Forest of Dean Radio and GTFM.  This an 
opportunity to get to grips with the application form and receive 
specialist advice on making a successful application.  Delegates will 
meet the author of the Community Radio application form and receive 
expert advice from Licensed Community Radio stations in the South West 
of England and South Wales.

* Lawrie Hallett, Ofcom Senior Associate working on Community Radio will 
provide an overview and answer questions about the application form, 
guidance and assessment process.

Station Managers from Licensed Community Radio stations in the South 
West of England and South Wales will lead breakout sessions on each 
aspect of the application form.  Together they bring a vast amount of 
experience from a wide range of contexts.

* Phil Gibbons, Station Manager, Bristol Community FM. Bristol Community 
FM is an exciting radio station in the making based in Bristol, put 
together by Community at Heart (Radio 19) and the British Empire & 
Commonwealth Museum (Commonwealth FM).

* Roger Drury, Station Manager, Forest of Dean Community Radio.  Forest 
of Dean Community Radio is one of the 15 original pilot stations and is 
the only local station, broadcasting throughout the Forest of Dean on 
1521 & 1503 mw/am.

* Andrew Jones, Station Manager, GTFM. GTFM is one of the 15 original 
pilot stations and is so far Wales's only Community Radio station on air 
broadcasting 24 hours a day on FM and online.
