<div dir="ltr"><div>In the early hours of 25 August, violence broke out in Rakhine State, Myanmar. The extent and implications remain uncertain, but this has led to one of the fastest population movements in recent decades. Over half a million people - the majority Rohingya women, children and elderly - have fled across the border into Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh, one of the poorest and most overpopulated districts. An estimated 400,000 people remain in conflict zones of Rakhine State, where needs are unknown and access incredibly difficult.<br></div><div><br></div><div>There is a cross-media DEC Appeal for the humanitarian crisis in Myanmar.
