</head><body><p>It's worth noting Nick that the heat pumps in all the low cost split conditioners sold by CPC can be switched into reverse for heating, and have quite good coefficients - eg for about 3kW of heat into the room they consume only 900W or so of electrical power, so they can be quite cost effective for areas that sometime need cooling and sometimes heating.
