<p>I wonder if you could explain to all of us non-corporate people out here the principal of "signing off " notes of a meeting?<br>
Do you have an agreement with or instruction from Ofcom that requires you to clear anything that was discussed in meetings with them before you release it?<br>
I suspect not - because that aspect has never arisen in the meetings on quite sensitive subjects that I've had with officers of Ofcom.<br>
So it's just down to common sense, courtesy and a respect for the individual - as it is with our meetings.<br>
Does the CMA not feel confident to take on that responsibility?<br>
Believe me - I could tell an awful lot of tales if I were not mindful of the consequences.</p>
<p>My view, as is I suspect taken by other members, is that as you are our single united mouthpiece with Ofcom, there is an implied responsibility to us to keep us informed of important meetings like this one, the agenda, the individuals involved and what was
the outcome.<br>
We are your stakeholders - Ofcom is not.</p>
<p><br>
Now it would appear that the CMA is intending releasing the notes anyway.<br>
Can I ask a few important things please?<br>
Why are there no new developments?</p>
<p>Did you get reasons for this?<br>
What are the actual dates spoken about for the significant events ahead?<br>
Are you adamant that Ofcom should specify and keep to these dates?<br>
MPs have insisted - and got results.</p>
<p>and - in due course if necessary:<br>
How many of the current 240 operational CR stations are CMA Members?<br>
How many of these were represented at the AGM on Satu<span style="font-size:12pt">rday?</span></p>
<p>How many other non-Licensee Members are there - and were at the AGM?<br>

2017 looks to be another exciting year for community media and there will be several regional community radio events that the CMA will be supporting and also the Community Media Conference and Community Radio Awards in September. Next year will see 15 years
since the first Access Radio stations came on air and we look forward to marking that occasion. Still looking ahead, there are bound to be further developments with small-scale DAB - and the Broadcasting (Radio Multiplex Services) Bill 2016-17 will get its
second reading in Parliament on Friday 13th January.<br>

The CMA office will be closed over the holiday period but the community media elves will be on hand if you need any help, advice, or a shoulder to cry on if the festivities become too much.<br>
