</head><body><p>For one-way working (show fully hosted at the remote end) that should work fine (as would a laptop with free software, which is what we've used for occasional OBs). </p><p>The Sonifex is a dearer solution than, say, the long-standing Barix units, but more flexible in terms of connections and coding options. For two-way working, you might find the latency a bit high in the higher quality MP3 modes, and need to use lower bandwidth and/or mono G711 encoding to minimize the latency.<br></p><p>Either way you'll also need a fixed, or at least stable, public IP address and to open the necessary port(s) on your router if the connection is to be established from the remote end.<br></p><p>A more standard solution for this sort of need is the Tieline range, but they are more expensive.
