rial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:13.3333px;">with regard to a Joint Licence for community radio.</span></font></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:13.3333px;"><br></span></font></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:13.3333px;">There is little information that we are able to share at this stage as the details of the&nbsp;proposed Joint Licence are still&nbsp;being worked on by PPL and PRSfM and communications on this matter&nbsp;have to be approved by the Legal Teams of the licensing&nbsp;agencies. Therefore much of the text below is&nbsp;drawn&nbsp;from the Joint Licence letter with some&nbsp;additional&nbsp;detail added. The Community Media Association seeks your feedback on the proposed Joint Licence.</span></font></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:13.3333px;">&nbsp;</span></font></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;">PPL collects and distributes licence
fees for the use of recorded music on behalf of record companies and
performers, whereas PRSfM&nbsp;collects
and distributes fees for the use of musical compositions on behalf of
songwriters, composers and music publishers. . </span></p>

<p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;">&nbsp;</span></p>

<p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;">Both PPL and PRSfM have received feedback from the Community Media Association and from community radio stations relating to the current method
of licensing music rights for inclusion within Ofcom-licensed community radio
broadcasts.</span></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;"><br></span></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10pt;">The&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size:13.3333px;">licensing</span><span style="font-size:10pt;">&nbsp;bodies have carefully considered the comments received so far and, building upon the experience and success of
joint licensing between PPL and PRSfM in other&nbsp;sectors, and now believe that
it is possible to further simplify the licensing of music rights for
community radio stations. Accordingly, subject to a successful consultation with
the sector, </span></font><b style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt;">PPL and PRSfM intend to introduce a Joint Licence for
Ofcom-licensed community radio stations with effect from 1 January 2017</b><font face="Arial, sans-serif"><span style="font-size:10pt;">. </span></font></p>

<p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;">&nbsp;</span></p>

<p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;">The joint licence will provide all community
radio stations with a simple, ‘one stop shop’ licensing solution, combining the
rights of both organisations in a single licence agreement.</span></p>

<p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;">&nbsp;</span></p>

<p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;">The joint licence will be administered by
PPL, acting on its own behalf and on behalf of PRSfM<i>. </i>This means stations will have one point of contact for
any queries regarding your licence, you will make a single payment covering
both sets of rights, and you will need to submit Net Broadcasting Revenue
information only once each year, reducing the administration associated with
ensuring that the music you include within your broadcasts are licensed correctly.</span></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;"><br></span></p><p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:left;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;">Prior to introducing new licensing schemes,
PPL and PRSfM&nbsp;are committed
to a fair, reasonable and proportionate consultation in
