Stations registered with the CMA could then afford to pay a few percent to keep it supporting the sector.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 15px;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-size: 15px;">A couple of ‘intended' consequences is that the government would recover some of the funds back in Ofcom fees and tax.
