</head><body><p>I don't think there are any better configured for small radio studio use anywhere near the price of the XB14-2. I can't speak for quality of after-sales service, as I have never needed to call on it!</p><p>For just over £800 it has almost all the features of our D&R desk which cost £2,500 16 years ago!</p><p>The main thing I dislike about it for permanent studio use is the way all the sockets are on the top surface rather than on the rear wall of the mixer as is more usual in a studio desk. Having the sockets on top works well for temporary or live performance setups, but it very untidy in a fixed radio studio installation, and invites unwelcome disturbance of the cables and tight bends.
