<span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333">Our Broadcast Operator apprentices will work across a variety of placement areas within their local station. Your days will be diverse. You may be creating content with production
teams, troubleshooting file encoding and deliveries and follow the news process from story initiation to playout; some of those areas will be:<u></u><u></u></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"></p><ul><li><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Setting up TV/Radio Studio facilities ready for recording/broadcast based on individual production needs</span><br></li><li><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Planning and preparing the technical setup for studio communications and contributions from external/internal sources.</span><br></li><li><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Planning and delivering our outside broadcasts jointly with Tech Organisers</span><br></li><li><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Operating Vision/Sound and GFX control systems in our TV/Radio Studios.</span><br></li><li><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Media Management – Ensuring that file based content is where it should be and is safe and secure.</span><br></li></ul><p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="background:white"><span style="color:rgb(51,51,51);font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-size:10pt">The apprenticeship lasts for 22 months, and the salary is £12,500pa for the first year, rising to £14,500pa by the 2nd year. Your college and training tuition fees are paid by the
BBC. As part of this innovative Apprenticeship, you will study for a L3 Diploma in Digital Technology that concentrates on developing your knowledge, skills and understanding of Network and IP Technologies as well.</span><br></p>

<span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";color:#333333">You’ll need a passion for all things technical and digital and not afraid to solve problems… You don’t need to have loads of experience, but you DO need to have a logical mind, great
attention to detail and have an appetite to learn! And it will help if you have a strong interest in the BBC’s local programmes and the technologies that support them. There’s no age restriction – as long as you satisfy the College entry requirements we will
be able to take you (as long as you pass the interviews and assessments of course!)<u></u><u></u></span></p>

& Vision Editing, Technology Organiser, Broadcast Engineering (including working on Outside Broadcasts)<u></u><u></u></span></p>
