We talked about his keen interest in supporting opportunities for women and young people to develop personal and physical strength and confidence. I am just starting a project with a small grant, to work with local Agencies and police who work with women who've suffered violent or abusive relationships, which was of interest to Shane. W</span>hen I popped the question asking him to come a Patron of the town's Community Radio service he readily agreed.
