</head><body><p>Should be noted that power consumption (ie watts) should really be the measurement when it comes to cost, not VA. However in the case of those specific bits of gear they have switched mode power supplies that I expect are quite well power factor corrected and will be consuming around 95-98% or so of the VA figure - ie about 150-155W for 160VA, so the difference is negligible on lower power installations. With some equipment the difference can be more substantial.<br></p><p>Link receivers, if used, can be surprisingly power hungry.
