<div>Having experienced two sides of this (the benefits of Huddersfield students whilst at Future, and working in a University setting here in Luton), I think there’s value to both.</div>

<div>I would like to say, not everyone studies a course at uni that directly translates to their job. I studied Economics and Politics. I ended up working in radio. I don’t regret choosing my course - but it would be true to say that I didn’t leave Uni knowing
all there is to know about Economics or indeed Politics. It did teach me many other skills.</div>

<div>Those students I teach and work with here – many work in media–industries afterwards (or even during!). Some take the skills they have learnt to achieve other things. Here’s a couple of examples of recent proof:</div>

<div dir="ltr">I wonder at the value of such courses.<br>
The question that worries me is - how good and up-to-date are the people who are instructing?<br>
It's the old adage I'm afraid that those who can - do - and those who can't - teach!<br>
I can see a student spending a lot of time and money on a course - and coming away with knowledge and information that's of very little practical use in a career in real down-to-earth gritty broadcasting><br>
Please - show me I'm wrong?<br>
