    Just a quick note to the list to say (again) - thanks for the help<br>

    The Behringer solution seems to do it all so we've decided on that
    route, but all tips, tricks &amp; ideas are greatly appreciated!<br>

      <p>The S1 mixer has trim pots of up to 12dB gain on each channel,
        so the -10dB level of domestic gear shouldn't be a problem if it
        were plugged straight in to mixer channels. Not sure that the
        external monitor inputs do though. </p>

        but if I were properly converting the outputs, I wouldn't use
        the Canford stick-ons - they are a daft price, costing more than

        4-channel compressor (with the defeat switches on) - they have
        balanced and unblanced in on each channel and full level
        balanced outputs, for half the price of a simple two-channel
        'stick-on' convertor! And you have a spare set of
        compressor-limiters and front panel level meters into the
        bargain!<br>

        unbal-bal convertor PCB modules for £20-40 to stick inside,
        powered by the mixer or tuner and giving a full balanced
        output.)<br>
