I recall at that time, about 6 years ago, the CEO was paid over £600,000 pa and yet small producers rarely receive royalties. At the same listeners are persecuted, using relatively obscure legislation that does not mention PPL, and was probably not meant to cover its present use.</div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1437557009160_7070" dir="ltr"><br></div><div id="yui_3_16_0_1_1437557009160_7698" dir="ltr">Perhaps we need a Lottery grant or crowd-funding to build a SBL (Small Broadcasters Licence). It could start small and build to meet demand, and would provide an excellent barrier against the current monopoly in the UK.
