Glyn - genuinely, what sort of a bitter, miserable comment is this from someone who should know better?

The Surrey and Sussex multiplex, owned by Muxco, does cover Slough (though not officially). http://www.muxco.com/?attachment_id=610 - Muxco are known for their assistance to community radio stations (Pulse in Somerset is already on, I believe) and they're also more willing to try new things in terms of studio links and other things. The Surrey and Sussex MUX is huge, and goes into great swathes of London. You could even see if you could get on with them using DAB+, which works with all recent DAB sets and might be more cost-effective still: unsure whether that is allowed yet, though.

DAB is, however you look at it, going to be the cost of someone's full-time salary to broadcast. It strikes me that your audience is underserved in many parts of the Reading and/or Surrey/Sussex multiplex areas, though, and offering significant new choice to these listeners could significantly change your business.

I hope that's of some help, and sorry that some so-called experts have wasted your time here.
