href="http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/may/03/most-buildings-in-kathmandu-deemed-uninhabitable-following-quake"
target="_blank"><span lang=EN-CA>Nepal was struck by an earthquake</span></a><span
lang=EN-CA> of 7.9 in magnitude. The damages are extensive and numerous
aftershocks have complicated search and rescue work and the delivery of
humanitarian help. The </span><a href="http://www.amarc.org/" target="_blank"><span
lang=EN-CA>World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters</span></a><span
lang=EN-CA> (AMARC) expressed its solidarity with the people of <st1:country-region
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Nepal</st1:place></st1:country-region> and
mobilizes its network to support them.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

are operating all over the country, even in remote areas. However, the April 25
earthquake has taken a toll on the network. More than a hundred radio stations
in 30 districts have been affected and are in need of urgent help.

assessing the status of community radios that have been damaged by the
earthquake. Teams have been deployed in the field and are visiting some of the
