<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-family:"Century Gothic","sans-serif"">The independent radio station RadioReverb has shown once again it’s loved and supported by residents of Brighton & Hove.
In a mammoth 52 hours of non-stop, live broadcasting to celebrate eight years on the air, the community station has so far raised almost £3,000 over the weekend. This is a great increase on the £2000 raised last year and reflects the backing of residents,
listeners and local businesses who want to keep RadioReverb ad-free and independent. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-family:"Century Gothic","sans-serif"">The Reverbathon was trending on social media last week and throughout the weekend as the DJs engaged with listeners and sponsors
in a variety of ways. This year’s Reverbathon saw rap battles between DJs, live music from local bands and a fantastic day of female led shows on International Women’s Day. RadioReverb is run entirely by volunteers and all the money raised goes directly back
into the running of the station, upgrading equipment and giving an opportunity to bring in new shows and new local voices. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-family:"Century Gothic","sans-serif"">Melita Dennett, Chair of RadioReverb, said </span><o:p></o:p></p>

about Brighton and Hove, and listeners and sponsors know that. Our volunteers are also committed, highly professional and great ambassadors for a radio station that holds Brighton and Hove at the very heart of what we do.” </i></b></span><o:p></o:p></p>
