That's always been the problem that KCR had - along with others,
until October 2014 we were a Community evenings only Opt-Out from
commercial MFR using their frequency in our area.<br>
<br>
Day time, you drive across the North of Scotland and stay on MFR
just like Radio 2 does. Evenings and as you drove, the content
changed as your radio thought that we were all MFR.<br>
<br>
Of course, our largest population centre, Elgin, had to be right on
the border between 97.4 & 102.8, so radios constantly switched
back & forth between MFR in Inverness and us.<br>
<br>
MFR have been very good to us, but Oh the joy of our own frequency
and the disappearance of this problem!!<br>

content. I can imagine with stations not carrying the same
content it could become troublesome in fringe areas - with the
radio ping-ponging between stations. Probably understandable
if you are travelling, but intolerable if you lived or worked
in one of those areas!

the idea of changing CR PI codes so that you had
this flow between stations.. It was muted that it
might be an idea but more faff than its worth, and
also that there is not enough overlap or coverage to
make it effective.. As CR stations grow it might be
an idea for the future.</div>
