        Ofcom invites licence applications for community radio licences 
in the East of England, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes.</p>
<p style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-weight:normal;font-size:12px;">
        Community radio services are provided on a not-for-profit basis, 
focusing on the delivery of specific social benefits to a particular 
geographical community or a community of interest.</p>
<p style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-weight:normal;font-size:12px;">
        Ofcom can award five-year community licences on either the FM (VHF) 
waveband or the AM (medium wave) band for the East of England, 
Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes. However, there are parts of this 
region where suitable FM frequencies are not available and licences 
cannot be offered.</p>
<p style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-weight:normal;font-size:12px;">
