      the WCR people now - rumour had it way back that the Walworth
      cable radio network was found to be largely defunct - an issue
      with some of these Rediffusion type systems that were local
      authority supported....<br>

      The Thamesmead network was installed in the estate rather than
      strung along the street and was usable.<br>
