<div dir="ltr"><p><span id="more-5259"></span>Ofcom has announced the award of four new community radio licences in Leeds, Bradford, Beverley and Kingston-upon-Hull.</p>
<p>Licences have been awarded to to Bradford Asian Radio, Beverley FM, 
Hull Kingston Radio, and AKASH Radio, for a service in Leeds.</p>

<p>Ofcom has awarded community radio licences to:</p><p><br></p>

<p><strong>AKASH Radio (Akash Radio Leeds Limited)</strong></p><p>AKASH Radio will provide a community radio service for Punjabi-speaking communities in Leeds.</p>
<p><strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>Bradford Asian Radio (Bradford Asian Radio Limited)</strong></p><p><strong>Website:</strong> <a href="mailto:www.pakistanfm.co.uk">www.pakistanfm.co.uk</a><strong> </strong></p>
<p>Bradford Asian Radio will serve the Asian population of Bradford, 
broadcasting a speech-dominated service in Urdu, Panjabi, Mirpuri, 
Bengali, Hindi and English.</p>
<p><strong><br></strong></p><p><strong>Beverley FM (East Yorkshire Broadcasting Limited)</strong></p><p><strong>Website:</strong> <a href="http://www.beverleyfm.com/">www.beverleyfm.com</a></p>
<p>Beverley FM will provide a service for the residents, businesses, 
educational establishments, local groups and industries in Beverley and 
the surrounging areas.</p>

<p>Hull Kingston Radio will provide a community radio service to the people of East Hull.</p><p><br></p>
<p>The licences are awarded for a five-year period.</p>
