That the Parliament congratulates the radio station, Awaz FM, on its 12th<BR>
birthday; understands that the station, which was originally given a<BR>
one-year licence, first went live on 29 April 2002 with the first broadcast<BR>
made by Javed Ullah, who remains at the station; notes that "awaz" means<BR>
"voice" in both Urdu and Hindi and believes that the station has taken this<BR>
to its heart and has become the voice for the black and ethnic minority<BR>
communities in Glasgow and further afield; wishes Awaz FM a very happy<BR>
birthday, and looks forward to the next 12 years of what it considers the<BR>
station's superb multicultural broadcasting.<BR>
