<div dir="ltr"><div><p>Would you like to be part of the next generation of radio presenters?</p><p>The <a title="BBC Academy" href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/academy" target="_blank">BBC Academy’s College of Journalism</a>,
in conjunction with BBC Local Radio, is holding a series of awareness
days for women who are interested in presenting on BBC local radio in
England.</p><ul><li>Do you enjoy meeting and talking to people from different walks of life?</li><li>Are you interested in what’s going on in the world around you?</li><li>Have you got something to say about where you live?</li>
</ul><p>The
BBC is interested in hearing from women of all ages and backgrounds who
believe they could become part of BBC Local Radio’s future presentation
teams.</p><p>If you would like to be considered to attend the Midlands pilot event, and you can be at <strong>BBC Birmingham at The Mailbox in Birmingham</strong> on <strong>Friday 6 December 2013</strong>, then the BBC wants to hear from you. (There will be further events run in Salford in February and London in March).</p>
<p>The aim of this event is to help boost the number of women presenting on BBC Radio.</p><p>In order to apply you must be:</p><ul><li>A woman</li><li>Aged 18 or over</li><li>Live in the UK or Channel Islands</li><li>Not earning your main living as a paid presenter on any UK radio station.</li>
</ul><p>Some
spaces (around a third) are being reserved for those people who may
work for the BBC but in a non-broadcast capacity. If you do, you’ll need
