Your planned solution is obvious - and totally valid.<BR>
The big problem lies with the simple little cover-all word "Digital".<BR>
DAB (Eureka 147) as a digital radio platform is accepted now as being a dead end and there is no agreement as to what would successfully replace it in the UK.<BR>
Until that decision is made - and homologated with the majority of the World's other broadcasters, there can be no progress in this area.<BR>
Where we could move forward is with a revised policy on spectral occupancy.<BR>There are over 200 channels available in Band II (FM) virtually everywhere in the UK.<BR>
42% of them are occupied by the 5 national services.<BR>
