Funding of up to £500,000 is available to <BR>support social investment proposals that will enable intermediary <BR>organisations to:<BR><BR> * Provide better support to organisations that improve the lives of <BR>those in need<BR> * Create a stronger and more dynamic social investment market that <BR>is better equipped to lever funds from other sources<BR> * Increase knowledge and learning about effective

Grants are normally in the range of <BR>£1,000 and £10,000. Successful projects will either maintain an open, <BR>inclusive society or promote integration (or reintegration) of <BR>individuals or groups into society. Preference will be given to:<BR><BR> * smaller charities<BR> * charities which serve a locality or region of the UK, rather than <BR>national charities<BR> * causes which find it more difficult to raise funds from the <BR>general public.<BR><BR><BR>Previous projects supported
