I’m writing on the behalf of Birmingham, UK’s leading youth media initiative, Radio Youthology (www.radioyouthology.net) , which will be will be producing a <B>landmark, 24 hour, LIVE radio broadcast to commemorate World Music freedom Day on Thursday 3rd March 2011 from it’s brand new studios in Highgate Square, Birmingham, UK – please see attached flyer.<BR>
</B>This broadcast has been made possible with generous support from Denmark based NGO Freemuse ( freemuse.org) ,and since your Blue Frog is also taking part in Music Freedom Day , will it be possible to get an interview over the phone , a pre rec or live about your take on Freedom of Music and possibly with the French band Fortune <BR>
The LIVE broadcast will be produced by young people from Birmingham with guidance and support from Ulfah Arts & Media. The broadcast will comprise of discussions debates on human rights, music by musicians locked up anywhere in the world because of their music , Live music by Birmingham based independent bands as well as radio documentaries on Freedom of music and speech. The broadcast will stream live from www.radioyouthology.net and via it’s Iphone and Android apps.<BR>
This is a not-for-profit , social empowerment initiative, totally led by young people form some of the most disadvantaged communities in Birmingham, UK and to keep it independent and without prejudice we have not taken any funding from private or public sources and is a volunteer driven initiative. It will be great if any number of you would like to contribute to the broadcast<BR>
Other organisations which will be present are – Amnesty International, Index on Censorship, UN AOC , Aston University and a host of other NGO’s and activists from across UK. <BR>
