[cma-l] Local News Partnership - deadline extended

Thanks for this Alex.

I'm rather pleased to be able to say that this extension was granted in
response to my phone conversation this morning with the BBC.

The CMA encourages all interested (or even speculative) community radio and
media groups to apply for Section 1 on the BBC Local News Partnership
Scheme.

The online form looks daunting but should only take an hour at the most to
complete. Most of the questions can be answered with a simple yes/no.

Ofcom-licensed community radio stations can indicate that they are a
regulated media organisation early on in the application procedure and
upload a copy of the Ofcom licence. Doing so will exempt applicants from a
question further down in the form that asks about the journalistic
standards to which the station adheres.

The closing date is now as follows:

*- ITT Closing Date in Settings has been '29 May, 2017 00:00 (WET -
Western Europe Time DST)'*

Any problems with this, just contact the Community Media Association.

With best regards

Bill Best
