[cma-l] Ofcom awards four community radio licences in London

Ofcom has today announced the award of four new community radio licences in
London:

Licences have been awarded to

*Flex FM (Flex FM Radio Limited)*
Website: www.flexfm.co.uk

Flex FM will provide a community radio service for 15-30 year old dance
music fans in Merton, Wandsworth, Sutton and Kingston-upon-Thames.

*Radio Minhaj (Minhaj-Ul-Quran International)*
Website: www.minhajuk.org

Radio Minhaj will provide a community radio service for black, Asian and
other ethnic minorities in Newham.

*Nomad Radio (Nomads Media Ltd)*
Website: www.nomadradio.co.uk

Nomad Radio will provide a community radio service for the Somali community
in Hammersmith and Fulham.

*Maritime Radio*
Website: www.maritimeradio.london

Maritime Radio will provide a community radio service for the local
community in Greenwich.

Ofcom is conducting a further round of analogue community radio licensing.
Applications have been invited based on evidence of demand received for
various different locations around the UK. Areas which do not overlap with
existing stations are being prioritised.

The closing date for applications is 3pm on Thursday 27 July 2017 and some
guidance notes for applicants is available.
