Dear Sir / Madam,

I hope you don’t mind me troubling you by email.

My name is Fred Setters and for the previous five years I have been Station
Manager and presenter at Jubilee Hospital Radio in the lovely Channel
Island of Guernsey.

As a voluntary organisation and perhaps, not unlike many community radio
stations, we rely on our members to produce live programming for us during
certain parts of the day (usually evenings). However, at other times,
because of work / family commitments, we need to supplement our broadcast
schedules with programmes produced on a syndicated basis by DJ’s based
elsewhere. Having been the grateful recipient of the excellent work
produced by these talented people, I decided it was about time to give back
some of what we have received at the station.

So, with effect from 1st April (no pun intended!) I am distributing my own
weekly 60-minute syndicated radio show entitled “Electric City”. Featuring
Synthpop, Electronic and New Romantic music from the 70’s and 80’s, it is
presented as a non “time specific” show in three parts to allow for
stations to insert their own branding/adverts. Being “generic” it will
allow stations to slot it in at an appropriate time in their broadcast
schedules (perhaps when live programming is not possible). Stations will be
able to access a shared Dropbox folder where the show will be uploaded each
week along with a playlist to allow stations to complete their necessary
reports for PPL/PRS.

I am already launching the show to our own association’s conference (The
Hospital Broadcasting Association) in Bolton on the 25th March – but would
like to offer it to your own membership if that is possible?

Because of the levels of funding available to Hospital and Community Radio
broadcasters, I will not be making any formal charge for the programme as I
am always keen to help stations mitigate their running costs.

*If this is of interest, please let me know and I can provide you with a
Dropbox link to a 20 minute “taster” edition of the programme.*

Thank you for taking the time to read this email and I look forward to
hearing from you.

Kind regards
Fred Setters
