Job description

The School of Media, Film and Music is seeking an experienced administrator
to help run a new large-scale AHRC-funded research project, ‘BBC Connected
Histories’, based in the Sussex Humanities Lab and the School of Media,
Film and Music.

Working closely with Principal Investigator, Professor David Hendy, and
with the Research Grants Administrator in the Research and Enterprise
Division, the post holder will be responsible for the operational
administrative and financial support for the project, and the PI.

This will involve calendar/travel management, maintaining records of
project information and documentation, planning and monitoring project
budgets, ensuring all expenditure and procedures around contracts are
processed efficiently through the University’s finance system,
administrating a project website containing multi-media and interactive
elements, managing the storage and back-up of key data, liaising with
Project Partners (including the BBC, the Science Museum Group, Mass
Observation, and the British Entertainment history Project), and
maintaining social media activity related to the project.

Hours: Part Time
Contract: Fixed term until December 2021
Reference:   1750
Salary: starting at £24,565 and rising to £28,452 per annum, pro rata. It
is normal to appoint at the first point of the salary scale.
