Community radio station Gateway 97.8 <http://www.gateway978.com/>  is proud to announce several grants being awarded to the station,

 

BBC Children in Need have awarded the station funding to secure its radio club with the announcement of two part-time youth workers which will be advertised shortly,

 

The National Lottery - has agreed to fund the project  with funding being awarded earlier this year for update of studios, promotion and new facilities,

 

In addition, the Community Radio Fund has agreed to support  "The Radio Hub" with a grant from the fund.

 

Danny Lawrence, Director at Gateway 97.8, says "The station really needed some good news after the loss of one of our Directors who sadly passed away.  These grants along with the continued support of The Eastgate Shopping Centre secures our future for the next few years".
