We are currently recruiting to the role of CSR Business and Community Coordinator within CYSM / Kent Union.


CYSM Limited is the company that oversee the work and projects of the student-led community radio station in Canterbury – CSR FM. CSR FM is a joint funded project, by the University of Kent, Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent Union and Christ Church Students’ Union, and supports members from both institutions, as well as members of the local Canterbury community. CSR FM has grown significantly, registering an increase in membership year on year, and securing national award success for charity and community work. The station is one of only six student radio stations in the country with an Ofcom FM Licence and currently supports over 200 members. We are an award winning radio station and work closely with our partners to deliver quality radio broadcasts in and out of the studio.



The CSR Business and Community Coordinator is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing and thriving media team. The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering our Youth Academy programme, in which we go to schools and teach young people skills in radio. Creating links and marketing the radio station within the local community, both on and off campus. Source new income stream to ensure the CSR, InQuire and KTV continue to operate. The role will require you to work with the volunteers running the groups to make sure all the above is delivered effectively.
