Ofcom has today published a consultation
<http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/consultations/chorley-fm-change-request/>
following a request from Chorley FM to make changes to its key commitments.

Chorley FM, which holds a community radio licence for Chorley, Lancashire,
wishes to make several changes to its key commitments. These include
changes to the communities the station serves, its ‘character of service’,
‘programming’ and ‘social gain objectives’.

A request for a change in key commitments can only be approved by Ofcom if
it satisfies at least one of the five criteria set out in the Broadcasting
Act 1990.

Chorley FM previously asked to make changes to its key commitments in
January 2015. Following a consultation, Ofcom declined
<http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/consultations/chorley-fm/statement/> this
earlier request.

Today’s consultation closes on *Tuesday 13 October 2015 at 5pm*.
