[cma-l] SHUTransmedia is a new, unique and Transmedia event in the UK! 30th October, Sheffield (free entry)

Transmedia Storytelling is the way in which stories are told across
multiple platforms including film, TV, books, games, social media &
merchandise. Well known examples include Harry Potter, The Matrix, Avatar
and Batman.

Within the international organisation of multiple transmedia events,
Sheffield Hallam University has organised a first mini-conference. The
keynote will be provided by professionals directly invited from the
transmedia industry and several scholars and academics will contribute with
short talks to what is expected to be the inaugural of a series of yearly
events. This mini-conference places Sheffield Hallam University in the
international network of the transmedia week open events, situating SHU in
the world map of institutions that contribute to this strand of media
research, production and exploration. The first of many events coincides,
this year, with the beginning of the Halloween weekend, perhaps a
premonition for a frightening Transylvanian transmedia outcome!

On Friday 30th October, Hallam will host key-note speakers and celebrate
the art of Transmedia Storytelling.
