Dear Community Radio colleagues

The newly re-designed Community Radio Toolkit
<http://www.communityradiotoolkit.net/> web site is re-launched this week
with revised content in the Toolkit, and a new and unique guide to Social
Media for Community Radio. The latter is the product of a Radio Regen
project that also offers support to stations seeking to improve their use
of social media.

The site is based on Radio Regen's, and other sector leaders' experience in
setting up and running stations and has been widely praised as an essential
tool for community radio leaders. The old site had over two thousand
subscribers from the UK and overseas and many community radio people have
told Radio Regen that its information was indispensable to their work
setting up and running stations.

The *Social Media* project is funded by the Community Radio Fund and
contains practical advice on how to optimise your station’s use of social
media, how to plan it and, where necessary, control it. The section also
discusses innovative ways in which social media can be used to generate
income. The project is also offering a limited amount of free support on
the topic.

*If you are interested in support on making effective use of social media,
please contact cormac[at]radioregen.org <http://radioregen.org>*

The Toolkit website is also a work in progress and as such Radio Regen is
more than keen to hear from users either via the site or toolkit[at]
radioregen.org We would like to hear users' views on the site and how it
might be better.

We also want to publish the best *Community Radio Stories* - that show off
the sector at its best - or perhaps cautionary tales that can help stations
avoid future pitfalls. If this is of interest please contact toolkit[at]
radioregen.org

The next new section of the site will be a detailed guide to *training* in
the sector – addressing both training best practice and business models
that can be applied to generate revenue from training.

Best wishes,

Phil, Cormac and Cathy at Radio Regen

PS - no prizes, but much gratitude to be had for spotting the inevitable
typos or duff hyper-links ;)
