I don't think there is anyone in the current political situation who could action that.

Dear All (Steve)

Could we not donate some money out of the
Community Radio Fund ….. I’m sure no one would object to that …. ?

One thing they do need at the moment is ‘Communications’

Montreal, May 5, 2015. On April
25, Nepal was struck by an earthquake of 7.9 in magnitude. The damages are extensive and numerous
aftershocks have complicated search and rescue work and the delivery of
humanitarian help. The World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC) expressed its solidarity with the people of Nepal and
mobilizes its network to support them.

Nepal can count on a strong and vibrant community radio network. Stations
are operating all over the country, even in remote areas. However, the April 25
earthquake has taken a toll on the network. More than a hundred radio stations
in 30 districts have been affected and are in need of urgent help.

Our staff from the Asia Pacific office are on the ground and hard at work, in collaboration with the Association
of Community Radio Broadcasters Nepal (ACORAB),
assessing the status of community radios that have been damaged by the
earthquake. Teams have been deployed in the field and are visiting some of the
most severely impacted districts.

Why should you support the community
radios of Nepal?

Community
radios are a powerful tool in disaster relief situations. They are an
indispensable way to provide reliable information to vulnerable population,
help the humanitarian relief and ease the fear and worries of the population in
tense situations. These radios are deeply rooted in their communities and serve
as a focal point for the population to get the services they deserve and need
in their language. In emergency situations, community radios can help make a
difference.

     power generation sources

All the funds donated to this
campaign will go to the restoration of the community radio network of Nepal. Your
