Hi All

This is going to be a big election period for community radio and a first time for many stations. So we, at The Radio People, have put together a FREE Election Handbook which you can download here: www.theradiopeople.co.uk/election <http://www.theradiopeople.co.uk/election>

As we are now in ‘Purdah’, it is important that stations achieve a balance between all parties and candidates in their programmes. Another potential danger zone for community broadcasters is the use of libellous or defamatory comments by your presenters. It's important to know what you can say and what you can’t! So make sure all your on-air presenters get a copy.

We hope you find the handbook useful, that the guidelines answer many of your questions about election coverage and that it helps your station stay legal during Election2015.

All the best

David
